This awesome concert tee is for the 1991 Tour for the band Styx, launched to promote the group’s twelfth studio album Edge of the Century. This was the first Styx album to feature Glen Burtnik on guitar and vocals and the only album to include the lineup of Burtnik, Dennis DeYoung, James Young, Chuck Panozzo, and John Panozzo. This would also be the final album to include John Panozzo before his death in 1996.

Edge of the Century was certified gold and spawned three singles which were “Show Me the Way”, “Love is the Ritual”, and “Love At First Sight”. “Show Me the Way” made it to the top three of the Billboard Hot 100, in part thanks to the events of the Persian Gulf War. Some radio stations edited the song to create their own “Desert Shield Mixes” that incorporated audio from the loved ones of soldiers deployed in Saudi Arabia. A music video for the single was also directed by Michael Bay, known for his blockbuster films Armageddon and Transformers.

After the Edge of the Century Tour, Styx was dropped from their label, after A&M Records was bought by Polygram Records. The company cited that the emergence of grunge rock was a major factor in their decision to drop the band, and the group temporarily disbanded.
