This vintage band tee is from Soul Asylum’s Grave Dancers Union Tour. The grunge rockers hit the scene in the early 1980s, came into relevance in the late 1980s, and finally had their breakthrough in 1992 with the release of Grave Dancers Union.

This album was made possible with the talents of Dave Pirner, Dan Murphy, Karl Mueller, and Grant Young. There was some controversy surrounding producer Michael Beinhorn being unhappy with Grant Young’s drumming. He brought in the more experienced Sterling Campbell who had worked with Duran Duran and David Bowie. Slowly but surely, Campbell eventually replaced Young in the mid-90s.

Without a doubt, the most popular single from this album was “Runaway Train.” It earned the band international acclaim and won them a Grammy for the best rock song. The album itself stayed on the Billboard charts for 76 weeks and certified triple-platinum by 1993. Soul Asylum is considered one of the most successful rock bands in the first half of the 90s.
