This cool vintage tee is for the country music band Sawyer Brown, and it features a portrait of the band with the words “Welcome to the Show”. The group was first formed in 1981 by Mark Miller, Greg “Hobie” Hubbard, Bobby Randall, Joe “Curly” Smyth, and Jim Scholten. All of the members had previously been a part of Don King’s backing band, and they chose to create their own group after King retired. They wound up competing on the television show Star Search, and after they won the grand prize they were signed to Capitol Records in 1984.

This shirt is from 1994, after the group moved to Curb Records. Around that time the group released their tenth studio album Outskirts of Town which included the hit singles “The Boys and Me”, “Outskirts of Town”, “Hard to Say”, and their third number one single “Thank God For You”. Other chart topping hits from the band were “Step That Step” and “Some Girls Do”.
