This awesome double-sided concert t-shirt is from the British rock band The Cult, and it commemorates the concert tour for their fourth studio album Sonic Temple, which was released in 1989. Sonic Temple included some of the band’s most famous songs such as “Fire Woman”, “Sun King”, “Edie (Ciao Baby)” and “Sweet Soul Sister”. The album was the last to feature bassist Jamie Stewart and the first to include drummer Mickey Curry, who had also worked with Hall & Oates and Bryan Adams. Sonic Temple earned the band’s highest chart position, peaking at the No. 10 spot on the Billboard 200.

The Cult first emerged in the early 80s as a post-punk/gothic rock band called Death Cult. The band changed their name in 1984 before the release of their first studio album Dreamtime. The band began adapting more of a hard rock sound, beginning with their 1987 album Electric. The same year as the release of Sonic Temple, The Cult went on tour with Aerosmith throughout Europe, and then with Metallica in the United States.
