This gnarly concert tee is from Slayer’s Seasons in the Abyss 1990 tour aka the US Campaign. It’s aged beautifully, preserving that old school magic for years to come. Features wild graphics, amazing one hundred percent cotton, and a 90s era Hanes tag.
Seasons in the Abyss (1990) is a thrash metal album featuring tracks like “War Ensemble”, “Blood Red”, and “Skeletons of Society”. It’s best remembered as the last album to feature the band’s entire original linup- Dave Lombardo, Jeff Hanneman, Kerry King, and Tom Araya. The release was relatively well recieved, selling 500, 000 copies and charting in several countries like Australia, USA, UK, and Sweden.
The rock band Slayer has roots dating back to 1981 in Huntington Park, California. They were considered one of the “big four” acts of thrash metal, alongside other legends like Anthrax, Megadeth, and Metallica. They are intense in their sounds, lyrics, and image so, naturally, that came with a lot of bans, lawsuits, and criticism from certain members of the public, especially religious groups.
Despite this, Slayer, is widely loved among their fans and musical comrades. Their lifetime achievements are far and wide, including two Grammys, two Metal Storm Awards, three Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, and two Kerrang! Awards. The band called it a wrap in 2019 but their legacy lives on strong thanks to a loyal fanbase, their remarkable contributions to metal, and amazing memorabilia and collectibles like this concert tee.
