This vintage tee is weed meets politics, in an amazing spoof of the 1996 Presidential election campaign by Republican team Bob Dole and Jack Kemp aka Dole/Kemp. The pot parody repurposes their ’96 campaign logo to “Role Hemp”.

The Dole-Kemp campaign is best remembered for their website, which still lives on the internet in 2021, as a charming account of how users barely grasped the world wide web in the nineties.

For more perspective, 1996 saw the first game of chess won by a computer (IBM), the first flip phone for sale, Netscape squaring off with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 1.0, and of course the Dole/Kemp campaign site complete with blinding blue hyperlinks and Times New Roman font.
