This vintage ringer tee is for the popular hamburger chain restaurant White Castle and it reads “Fulfill that long distance 1-800-w-castle!” White Castle is typically found in the Midwest and New York metropolitan area. It is also often credited as being the world’s first fast-food hamburger chain, dating all the way back to 1921.

The chain was started by cook Walter Anderson and real-estate and insurance man Billy Ingram. With a budget of only $700 they started the first White Castle in Wichita, Kansas. Overtime the restaurant came to be known for it’s small square burgers called sliders. It also offers sandwiches in 30-hamburger boxes called Crave Cases and sells its products in grocery stores for home enjoyment. White Castle is also famous for being featured in the 2004 stoner comedy Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.

Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. It’s hard to see in the pics but there is some red bleed around the sleeves.
