This promo tee was specially made for Valerian’s 2-Cycle City in Westwood, California. The motorcycle shop appears to have specialized in motocross gear, dirt bikes, and racing equipment. While this tee is from the 1970s, Valerian’s may date as far back as the 1960s.

Valerian’s was a fairly famous establishment for its time thanks to a robust collection of epic cycles. Perhaps their biggest claim to fame was was having worked on Steve McQueen’s motorcycles. McQueen was a prolific actor through the 50s, 60s, and 70s and and avid race car and motorcycle fan. He actually performed most stunts himself in films like The Great Escape and Bullitt.

It’s unclear if Valerian is still around today, but its legacy certainly carries on thanks to amazing memorabilia like this vintage t-shirt.

Fits like a modern unisex adult small. Double sided print.
